UWA is collaborating with the PNP and has developed a dedicated website – www.coastline.org where you can easily view and compare oblique aerial photos of the PNP region. These images provide a unique view of our coastline and are available for the community to view and download. You can view changes in our coastline from year to year and easily navigate to parts of the coast that are of interest.
The regional coastal monitoring program (covering approximately 200km of coast and estuarine areas) aims to improve our understanding and capacity to respond to erosion and inundation hazards in the coastal zone and is being delivered by PNP members Councils with support from the PNP. The program was to developed to be a sustainable, long term and standardised coastal monitoring program.
UWA will continue to partner with the PNP and will collect the oblique aerial surveys and maintain the website.
